55th Annual GRAMMY Awards

I had the wonderful experience of attending the prestigious GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, February 10th 2013! The day was full of excitement and magic!

I attended the GRAMMYs with my Uncle (Theio in Greek) and music producer, Mike Vasilomanolakis and talented musician, Omar Akram! Omar's fourth and most recent album, Echoes of Love was nominated for Best New Age Album!

A majority of the categories, including Best New Age Album, was held at the pre-televised ceremony at Nokia Theatre across from the Staples Center. It was a full house with wonderful performances and entertaining presenters. As the event unfolded, the moment we had all been waiting for finally approached, the category for Best New Age Album.

And the GRAMMY goes to...

OMAR AKRAM for ECHOES OF LOVE!!!

The pure joy and overwhelming moment took our entire group on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Omar accepted his GRAMMY with the biggest smile and had a lovely speech. Mike gave a moving and heartfelt speech as he was as ecstatic as Omar! Much congratulations to Omar and Theio Mike for their tireless effort in touching the hearts of the listeners with Omar's moving and inspiring music!

As the night went on, I was able to experience the joy once again in support of Halestorm who won the GRAMMY for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for their song, Love Bites (So Do I)! Going up against rock and heavy metal veterans, they were shocked and blown away at their win which was evident in their acceptance speech. Much congratulations goes out to Halestorm for their relentless effort to climb the ladder in the rock world by creating great music, putting on kick ass rock shows and recognizing their fans who are continuously supportive.

After the pre-televised ceremony, we made our way to the Red Carpet for the GRAMMY Awards show at the Staples Center. What a thrilling moment walking down the Red Carpet with amazing and talented artists and actors. The GRAMMY Awards were packed with a punch, with performances by Maroon 5, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, Elton John and Sting to name a few, not to mention the high energy LL Cool J brought to the show as the MC! LL Cool J closed the show with an amazing performance that closed the night the way it began. Another amazing night to remember!

Week 5: Two Heads Are Better Than One

For this Spotlight Challenge, Anthony was paired up with Autumn to create a two headed giant. With and interesting backstory, three heads and an excellent paint job, Anthony and Autumn's creature was safe for this week's challenge.

Week 3: When Hell Freezes Over

Face Off takes their contestants to the desert, where they are teamed up to create a demon from a specific region for this week's Spotlight Challenge.

Anthony and Alam triumph over Fox and Wayne this week with their Hindu Goddess, Deumus. Since there can only be one winner each week, Glenn Hetrick announces Anthony the winner of the challenge for the third week in a row!

"What should be grotesque, like the double nostril, is beautifully done," according to Neville Page.

"You do exactly what we ask for [from week to week]," Glenn Hetrick said of Anthony during judging.

Week 2: Heroic Proportions

Face Off took the contestants to San Diego Comic Con for it's next Spotlight Challenge. Each contestant was paired up with a a mentor from DC Comics to create their own superhero.

Anthony was busy at work on his superhero and ran into a bit of trouble when his chest and back mold didn't fit properly. In the end, he wasn't able to pull his mold in time and had to go with "plan B."

Anthony received praise from all three of the judges when his character "The Inferno Core" was presented. Of all the fiery characters that were created in the history of Face Off, Anthony's was the best according to Ve Neill!

Anthony's sculpture, aint job and silhouette earned him top prize this week! DC Comics will be featuring his character in an upcoming comic that will be released on January 30th!

Face Off Season Premiere!

Did you see the season premiere of Face Off on SyFy???

If you did, you saw my brother, J. Anthony, dominate the competition winning immunity on the "Foundation Challenge" with his queen character.

Then, he won the "Spotlight Challenge" with teammate Megan with their Mountain Goblin King!

My brother on FACE OFF!

I am so overly proud to announce my talented brother, J. Anthony Kosar, will be one of the contestants on Face Off!

Face Off is a creative reality show on SyFy where special FX make-up artists compete against each other. Each week tests their artistry and techniques to create a full make-up character to match the theme of each "spotlight challenge."

The contestants are judged by industry figures and artists, such as Academy Award-winning make-up artist, Ve Neill, television and film make-up artist, Glenn Hetrick, creature designer and director, Patrick Tatoploulos, among many others.
