My motivation as a filmmaker is to feel the reaction the audience would feel, through character and story, by creating several stages of intensity and conflict to raise and lower the audiences’ emotions. The ups and downs of a movie are like a roller coaster: taking the audience on a wild ride where they will be surprised by several emotional buildups, always keeping the audience guessing what will happen next? I like to create films that allow the audience to feel like they are in the movie, having a relationship with the characters; they must identify with, sympathize with, love them or hate them. My passion to create is based on storytelling, whether it is in written form or shown visually on screen. There are stories to be written by a writer, and stories that need to be visually told by a director; I want to tell those stories. Outside of filmmaking, I enjoy coaching basketball. I began playing at age 5 through high school and after playing my first 2 years of college, I decided to focus on my career. Although I stopped playing, I continue to coach. The role of a coach is similar to that of a director, striving to have all the players work as a unit focusing on the same goal.
